Mike can literally scroll through every line of the blueprints by
viewing Boeing microfilms on a gigantic 3M viewer. "We have it
digitized now, too," he says. "But that was a lot of work, too, just
scanning all this stuff, because there's over, well, we had 50,000
drawings on microfilm. We've gotten some more since we bought this. They
have two sets, an early and a late version. I got the late first, and
then we bought the early stuff that has the short tail and stuff on
them, just to have all the stuff. There's no end to it. But we still use
the microfilm. Sometimes there's something unreadable in the print.
That's why we got the big machine.
